Rulon and Dana came to Cottage Grove in January of 2003. Rulon has served as the Lead Pastor of Living Faith Assembly for over 21 years.

Pastor Rulon's core values would include biblical preaching, a team ministry approach, and intentional discipleship. He has expressed a desire to lead a church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, where members care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ.

Dana  has been an integral part of our worship ministry since 2003. She has a BA in Illustration from Oregon State and has often used her artistic abilities to add a creative flair to our ministries over the years.

Rulon graduated from Northwest University with a degree in Ministry Leadership. He and Dana have been happily married since 1987. They have three adult children: Caleb, Kelsy, and Chloe.

The Next Gen Pastor oversees the age groups from birth to college age. He works with the existing team leaders and volunteers to provide the training and resources needed to develop a discipleship culture. He develops transition strategies so that students will not fall through the cracks as they transition from elementary to middle school, from middle school to high school, and from high school to college age. Alex and Chloe spend the majority of their time creating a discipleship culture with our middle school and high school students. Alex has a passion for getting young people involved in ministry and plans to involve them in missions trips as well.

Alex and Chloe have three children. Alex completed his ministry training through Oregon Youth Alive Ministry Academy and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry Leadership through Northwest University. He has served as a ministry intern in Albany and in Baker City. He was a regular part of the worship team as both leader and band member. He plays guitar and drums. Alex loves the outdoors and enjoys hunting, fishing and camping. And we recently discovered that Alex is a committed Duck fan.

Deborah has been a wonderful addition to our team. Her core values include biblical teaching, a team ministry approach, and intentional discipleship for both leaders and children. Her desire is for both leaders and children to embrace and encourage one another with biblical views and work together in the love of Christ.

Deborah graduated from the World Reaching Faith in 2000 and was licensed as a minister in 2001. She has served the Lord in Children's Ministries for 12 years in Southern California and 3 years abroad as a missionary to fishing villages throughout the Pacific Rim: Baha Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Galapagos, Fatu Hiva, Hiva Oa, Nuka Hiva, and Riata.

She has three adult children and eight grandchildren.

Virginia Smith has been a wonderful addition to the Living Faith team. Her dedication to excellence and her attention to detail has been a huge asset to this ministry. She is known for her planning, organizational skills, and her fierce loyalty to the leadership team. In addition to here administrative responsibilities, she currently oversees the hospitality ministries of the church.
